The College of Education has established itself as a leader in securing federal and state grants. Research and grants support faculty research efforts and strengthen the research mission of the College of Education. These programs further enhance the resources available to the College for teaching and research. Significant grants support technology training for administrators, school partnerships, and other innovations.
The associate dean for Research and Administration is responsible for assisting faculty in obtaining external funds and resources to support research and development, and for coordinating activities in the College related to the utilization of research funds.

The College fulfills its strategic mission of influencing education by providing support systems for faculty engaged in research, evaluation, product development and other creative activities. The research agenda of the College is focused on production, synthesis, and application of knowledge that tests and extends the knowledge basis that supports educator preparation programs as well as contributes to solutions of contemporary education problems.
