Four Illinois State University faculty members have been selected by the Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE) to work with the IBHE, the U.S. Department of Education (DOE), and the recipients of the Board's No Child Left Behind (NCLB) School College Partnership grants.
The Illinois State faculty, part of the Center for the Study of Education Policy, work with IBHE staff to provide technical assistance and program development for the school-college partnerships on the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Improving Teacher Quality Grant Program.
The school-college partner teams will participate in a symposium on October 10, 2008. They will share project progress and will discuss ways to strengthen partnership structures, process, and outcomes.
Rich Jachino of the Illinois Board of Higher Education will present the group with state expectations for NCLB projects. The Illinois State University Education Policy Center team will lead symposium sessions.
